
Brenz Pizza Co. Partners with Old Well Management to Fuel Select UNC Football Athletes
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Ahead of the 2025-2026 football season, Brenz Pizza Co. is fueling members of the University of North Carolina’s football team with a weekly pizza allowance. This exciting collaboration stems from Coach Bill Belichick’s well-known affinity for pizza and includes Brenz Pizza Co. providing a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal to 23 players. The partnership includes both returning players and newcomers, fostering a sense of unity as the program undergoes new developments. Brenz Pizza, a beloved local pizzeria in Chapel Hill, is known for its wide variety of freshly made pizzas, wings, and other comfort food favorites. With this new NIL initiative, the restaurant aims to expand its reach and strengthen its connection with the growing fanbase in the community.

“Promoting this business and interacting with people around the area builds community,” says Kaleb Cost, a junior defensive back for the University of North Carolina football team.
This collaboration exemplifies the community’s commitment to supporting the new student-athletes as they adjust to life at UNC and embrace the legendary football program. Brenz Pizza and Old Well Management want to ensure these new players feel welcome and can rely on local businesses for support during this time of transition.
“As a graduate of Carolina, I love supporting NIL. It really helps the athletes, and I think it’s a great opportunity to give back to the school,” says Rachael Pontello, Catering & Marketing Manager of Brenz Pizza.
As collegiate sports continue to evolve with the rise of NIL and influencer marketing, Old Well Management is dedicated to enhancing community engagement by connecting athletes with the Tar Heel community and interested brands.
